About this blog

This blog is about the daily activities in a busy typewriter shop. I want to share with you the many interesting people who come in here, the beautiful machines I get and most of all the great typewriter stories that people share with me!

J.J. Short Associates Come Through

This Petite typewriter is in great condition and works.

I wanted to show the stamped lettering along bottom.

The Royal works just great while the L.C. Smith is a mantle piece.

This is one of my favorite machines.

1936 Corona Silent. Serial #1S 46918.

Hermes, Corona & USB Repairs

Just finished repairing this one and love the typestyle.

These old Coronas are clunky but fun to type on.

This is the USB Typewriter Interface board.

When a key is pressed, the end of the interposer touches a copper strip attached to the circuit board.

Recording Typewriter Sounds

The actual recording equipment you can't see is on the floor.

A Penncrest Caravelle 10 by Smith Corona came in for repairs.

This beautiful Underwood Portable also came in for cleaning and repairs.

The lighting is bad but this Rocket is awesome.

My typecasting machine this week is also a customer repair.

I liked this decal. It adds character to this No.5.

Love Those Lightweights

Does this machine match your room decor?

This has Parents Magazine seal of approval.

I know many writers that love this machine.

The End.
